Pelvic Floor Physical Therapy

Private, personalized pelvic health care for men and women—so you can move, exercise, work, and live with greater comfort and confidence.

Pelvic floor symptoms are common, but they are not something you simply have to accept as “normal.”

A Whole-Body Approach to Pelvic Health

The pelvic floor is a bowl-shaped group of muscles within the pelvis. It contributes to bowel and bladder function, sexual function, respiration, lymphatic drainage, organ support, and the walking cycle. Tightness, weakness, or poor coordination in these muscles—or in the surrounding fascia and nerves—can contribute to symptoms that affect daily life.

At Catalyst, pelvic floor physical therapy looks beyond one body part. We assess how your pelvic floor works when you are moving through real life, then build a plan to help you restore comfort, control, strength, and confidence.

Pelvic health care is available for both men and women.

We Can Help With

Your care begins with your story, your goals, and the symptoms that are getting in the way.

Bladder & Bowel Concerns

Care for urinary or fecal leaking, urgency, frequency, incomplete emptying, constipation, and painful urination or bowel movements.

Pelvic, Hip & Back Pain

Support for pelvic pain, painful intercourse (dyspareunia), tailbone pain, SI joint pain, pelvic girdle pain, hip or low-back pain, and sciatica.

Pregnancy & Postpartum

Exercise throughout pregnancy, labor and delivery preparation, management of core function, postpartum rehabilitation, diastasis recti, and return to safe exercise.

Prolapse & Surgical Recovery

Guidance for pelvic organ prolapse and pre- and post-hysterectomy or post-prostatectomy rehabilitation.

Complex Pelvic Conditions

Individualized care for endometriosis, polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS), interstitial cystitis, pubic symphysis pain, and pelvic pain.

Return to Movement

Learn how to load and retrain the pelvic floor for the demands of walking, squatting, jumping, balancing, exercise, work, and the activities you love.

What to Expect at Your Evaluation

Your first visit starts with a thorough conversation about your history, goals, and what brought you in. Your physical therapist may assess range of motion, strength, joint mobility, core control, and movement patterns that matter to your condition.

Because pelvic floor function affects the whole body, Catalyst performs a functional movement assessment in all three planes of motion. Depending on your needs, this may include looking at how you squat, jump, balance, breathe, and move during daily activities.

An internal assessment may be performed during the first visit when appropriate, with enough time available, and only with your consent. Every pelvic health appointment is physical-therapist supervised in a private treatment room, with care delivered at a pace that feels right for you.

Each visit builds on the last.

Your plan may include hands-on bodywork, manual therapy, targeted exercise, movement retraining, education, and manageable home-program progressions. We reassess regularly and adjust your plan as your body and goals change.
